Things are back to normal FINALLY!!

I know last year I said I would be more involved with my BLOG, but with hubby nearly dying & migraines taking over my life, it was not possible. I have been doing much better and I have started crafting and swaps with an awesome group I found online. Minialbumscraps.ning has helped me get back in my groove, so to speak. I am packing up my first swap with this group and can not wait to see all the neat swaps I get back in return. I even brought my Sizzix out of hiding and dusted it off, along with ordering some new dies. i have not been this excited in a LONG time!!!

It has been a really LONG summer and it is not even July 1st. Things have slowly returned to normal, so I have been scrapping A LOT. I finished my nephew Ryan's album and took it to him for his graduation on June 3rd. It was a crazy weekend so he did not get a chance to look at it until later in the week. It was so GREAT when my brother called to let me know they had sat down and looked at it together, and they truly loved it. =) The ONLY thing the album is missing are the 2 pages from Graduation, but I am still waiting on those, so who knows when Ryan will get the ACTUAL finished album. BUDDY Swap

Since I am SLOWLY getting back into scrapping, I thought I would join some friends in a "BUDDY" swap. I decided to make some spring colored butterflies to cheer up my mood. Photobucket

REALLY???

Derek was back in the hospital last week. I REALLY do not like my big guy being sick & hospitalized. He is FINALLY better and scheduled to return to work on Monday. Last weeks appointment with the pulmonary doc did not go so great. Derek was having chest pains, so they zapped him right back in the hospital and would not let him go until everything checked out. I can not believe it is April 8th and I am so far behind on my scrapping. The beginning of this year has been CRAZY and I am ready for things to settle down. I hope my next post will be something SCRAPPY. =)

I am SCRAPPING

Derek is still home recovering with his blood clots. So in between various doctors' appointments and trips to the lab for lab work, I have started scrapping again. I really need to do more because I am finding myself WAY behind with 2 graduating SENIORS. This is a layout of Samantha and some of her sorority sisters watching the TCU Horned Frogs WIN the Rose Bowl. CONGRATS to the FROGS on a WINNING SEASON. I can not explain how fun this year was watching the Frogs and actually living in the city of Fort Worth and how the town and our citizens rallied around the University. Photobucket

SERIOUSLY PART II

I NEVER want to go through the last 2 weeks ever again. I said I would be more active on my BLOG and boy did I get that one wrong. The day after my last post, I sent Derek to the ER because he was not any better. He has been sick for so long and complaining of not being able to breathe. He has been to the doctors and they started telling him he had asthma. WRONG - my poor guy had blood clots in BOTH lungs. The ER doc told him it was lucky he came in because his mortality rate was 95%. WHAT???? I can not believe he was basically walking around like a ticking time bomb. He was kept in the hospital the entire week and has been put on Coumadin to help break up the clots. He is now home with me recovering and the lung specialist has him on short term disability. Luckily for me, my neurologist put me on a new med for my migraines last month and it has been working wonders. Last weeks stress would have normally made me crater, but the new med helped with the migraines and has also helped with the body aches as well. It was originally for Fibromyalgia AND since I was diagnosed with that back in the late 90's before the MS, my neuro thought we might as well give it a try. All I can say is it is a MIRACLE and Praise the Lord. I had a follow up appointment with the neuro this morning and he was glad I was doing so good. He did some little strength tests and I am also gaining some strength back as well. I also have lost ten more ponds so that was an extra little bonus. He told me to just keep on top of the headaches and to call if the migraines TRY to resurface. As soon as things settle down and Derek gets back to work, I will start scrapping again. Right now, all I want to do is make sure my big guy is feeling better.
