SERIOUSLY??

I can not believe it has been over a month since my last post. I told myself I was going to be more active on my blog this year. At least I am aware 2 months into the year, that I have not been keeping up with my blog. I will be posting TONS of pics because I have TONS I am scrapping. Samantha is a Senior @ TCU and will be graduating, Ryan will be graduating high school and then on to Texas A&M in the fall AND Callie will be finishing her Freshmen year of high school. I have said this before and I will say it again, i am the LUCKIEST AUNT in the world to have these GREAT kids to scrap for. As I continue to scrap pages, I will post work for you to see. WOW - How time FLIES

I can not believe it has been four months since I have been on this BLOG. Things have been so crazy around here. The holidays were just a blur because Derek was sick starting at Thanksgiving. He was sick with what we thought was the "crud" BUT that later turned into pnuemonia. I am so glad I had the pnuemo vaccine a few years ago, or I am sure I would be down too. Derek will see the pulmonary specialist tomorrow, and I hope he can help and give my guy some relief. These last several months have been tough and it is so hard to see my strong guy go down. We did celebrate our 19th anniversary in December and that was pretty much about it. With Derek being so sick, we have stayed home alone because no one wanted to catch our germs. I was finally able to finish Ryan's album {his first 3 years of high school} and he received it over Thanksgiving. He loved it and is now looking forward to his senior album. I have TONS to keep me busy, so I need to stay on my scrap schedule. I do not want to get behind again because I have Ryan's album due in May/June, Samantha's towards the end of summer and I would love to give Callie her album in June/July. I just need to stay on a "scrap" schedule and I should be just fine. As long as there is no more illness that is.

CRAZY WEEK

Life is NEVER boring around my house. Derek has been home from work with either a bruised rib or a cracked or "broken" rib. My honey NEVER complains about pain. This is the same man that passed kidney stones for months before ever being seen by a doctor, and finally having surgery because the last stones were too big to pass. I made him an appointment with my massage therapist and only 5 minutes into the appointment she came and got me and told me that there was something seriously wrong and she could not help him. This morning I called my mom to see how my dad is doing because he has not been "acting" right and the eye doctor wants him to have lab work done because she thinks his carotid artery is blocked. WHAT???? I had to find my Valium because this was day 1 of my monthly IVIG treatments and I could not be a CRAZY lady with spike blood pressure. I needed my IVIG. So, I am worried about my husband and my daddy. I can not take this CRAZINESS!!!!

More TCU pages

Since football season has started, I am in the mood to scrap football layouts. This page is the first of 2 pages from last years football season, when TCU had such an awesome season. They have started off this year with their first win and since this is Samantha's senior year, I am hoping they have another fantastic year AND she will be able to go to a GREAT bowl game. I have not been able to make it to one of Ryan's games yet, but I am planning on going to his Senior Night game which is October 8th. I have been ordering the pics from his games and he has been in several of those, so I am lucky so far. I hope to post some of his pages soon. The weather has been CRAZY the last day or so. The hurricane that hit South Texas yesterday, moved north and we received 7 1/2" of rain in less than 12 hours today. I enjoyed the rain and cooler temps BUT it is going to be HOT & HUMID the next several days. I am planning on staying in and scrapping. Samantha is planning on coming over Friday to make one of her sorority sisters a Happy 21 Scrap Book, so I plan on getting some things done too.

This week's sketch at Scrap for Therapy

Now that my migraines are {mostly} gone, I am trying to get things back to normal around the house. I am hoping with a LONG holiday weekend, I will have a CLEAN house and a somewhat organized scrap room after Monday. =) Since school has started, I am scrapping around the clock. My plan is to have a completed scrapbook to take to Ryan on Senior Night. {the weekend of October 8th} The book will be of his Freshmen through Junior years and he has NO idea I am bringing it with us. This will be a BUSY year with 2 SENIORS in the family {Samantha & Ryan} and Callie is a Freshmen. I will be a busy scrapper, but I would not have it any other way! What can I say? WOW!!!!! I just received another kit in the mail yesterday, and it too is AMAZING!!! October will be my sixth month and at that point I can opt out OR continue. I originally made a deal with Derek that I would not shop at Hobby Lobby, JoAnns or the LSS as long as I was in this kit club. I have stayed pretty true to my promise except for a few odds & ends. {adhesives, card stock & specific embellishments} I am afraid if I opt out of Swirlydoos, I will miss those things I never would have bought and tried on my own. The kits made me move out of my comfort zone and I was able to use a lot of their pages and embellishments on my Grandmother's pages as well. IF I opt out, I could always buy the fun embellishments from their store. =) I will have to think LONG & HARD about this over the next month.
