How's this for ya? I had an appointment with my neurologist on Monday regarding my "never ending" migraines. {I think we are officially on 3 months} I have been on multiple pain meds, {narcotics} Imitrex pills and shots, ice packs and the heating pad. I have thrown up more in the last 3 months than I did with my gallbladder and my very short pregnancy too. I have not been easy to live with to say the least. So, when the doctor mentioned BOTOX, it was all I could do to not pass out and throw up in his office. WHAT????? Well, Botox was originally used to treat Migraine headaches. I told him, "THANKS, but NO thanks because with my luck, I will be that 1 in a 1/million chance to have a severe reaction." So, lucky me, I am going this Friday to consult with his partner who is a neuro/pain management specialist to discuss a spinal/neck pain block shot. The other situation I have is I went to the dentist today. It has been a while since I have been because I have been dealing with well, Multiple Sclerosis and really not wanting to go to the dentist. So, a couple of weeks ago I put on my big girl panties and made an appt with the dentist. I have 2 early set cavities. Mind you, I have NEVER had a cavity, so I am a little freaked about this too. I go back next week to have the cavities filled. The dentist was impressed with my dental hygiene and the fact I am a diabetic. He said with the amount of time that has passed, most people would have been much worse. That I guess was the good news because after I got home, my neuropathy set in. I was numb and tingling from head to toe and it was incredibly painful. I had to double up on my Neurontin to get things under control. My neuropathy has not hurt this bad in a LONG time, so I need to stay on top of this until after I have the cavities taken care of. I did tell Derek how nice the dentist was, so when we got home, he called and set up an appt for himself. =) I need to get BUSY scrapping because my nephew Ryan is about to start his Senior year in high school. I do have pages of his Freshman - Junior years completed, so I need to get those together and in an album and stay on top of his senior year. I will also be scrapping for my niece Callie, who is a Freshmen in High School and a Junior Varsity Cheerleader. I will also scrap for Kaleb, my cousin Kara's son, who is going to be in 8th grade and active in sports as well. I can not forget my niece Samantha, she is starting her SENIOR year at TCU so I will be making her a Delta Gamma scrapbook of her college years. I also spoke with my mom today, and she said her friend Mary, who I made an scrapbook for her grandson is taking lots of pics of the new grand baby, so I will have TONS to keep me busy. I am thrilled that my family and friends like the albums I make for them because it keeps me busy and it is therapy for me and helps me with my MS.
